When Outdoors:
Golden hour is when i do 95% of my sessions to capture that amazing warm sun glow you see in a lot of my images. This will be within the last hour before the sun completely sets. I understand that small children may have bedtimes before then, especially in the summertime. The last thing we want is a grumpy tired kiddo, so we are always able to plan a few hours earlier in a location that provides ample shade. I am also able to do morning sessions on the weekends. We tend to start those within an hour after sunrise.
When Indoors:
Indoor sessions can take place between the hours of 10 am and 5 pm depending on the time of year.
I don’t choose the location for you, but I do have a list of recommended spots that I love to work with. Ultimately, the decision is yours, and I’m happy to collaborate with you to find the perfect setting that aligns with your vision for the session.
I keep a close eye on the weather and usually stay a few steps ahead when planning our session. The only weather conditions that will prevent us from shooting are heavy rain, high winds, or storms. If that happens, we’ll reschedule for the earliest available day that works for both of us. Idaho weather can be unpredictable, so I typically make the decision to reschedule either the day before or the morning of the session.
Yes, I absolutely love traveling to destination locations for sessions! All sessions within 15 miles of Boise are included in the session fee. For locations outside of that area, a travel fee will apply.
Yes, absolutely! While I try to reserve weekends for family time, I do offer weekend sessions with a premium day fee if a weekday session doesn’t work for you. However, weekend days are included at no extra charge with our session bundles!
es, well-behaved pets are absolutely welcome! As an animal lover myself, I’m more than happy to include your furry family members in the session. It’s a good idea to bring someone along to help handle your pet, as they may not be included in every shot. We want to make sure your pet feels comfortable while also getting beautiful, focused portraits!
Yes! All images ordered as digitals or printed products will be edited to match my signature clean and colorful style. This includes image toning, light skin retouching, and the removal of temporary imperfections such as blemishes, bruises, or stray hairs. Skin softening is also included.
However, editing to alter someone's appearance (like making them thinner, removing all wrinkles, or adding hair) is not part of the standard editing process. If this is something you're concerned about, feel free to reach out, and we can discuss additional post-production options.
Nope! I believe photography is personal, and I want you to have the final say in which images you receive. After your session, you’ll receive a proofing gallery where you can review and select your favorite images. This way, you can choose the ones that best capture your vision.
Yes, I do have a studio! It’s a warm, inviting space designed to create a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, perfect for newborns, babies, and intimate family sessions. The studio is equipped with various backdrops, props, and natural light, all tailored to give your session a timeless, organic feel. While I love shooting outdoors as well, the studio is ideal for capturing those cozy, close-up moments in a controlled environment.
Yes, we offer digital images! Each session includes 15 high-resolution digital images, with the option to upgrade. While we include digital files because we live in a digital world, we believe in the importance of printing your photos to truly preserve those memories. We offer a range of amazing printed options, from beautiful canvas prints to custom-designed albums, ensuring your memories are displayed in the best way possible.
Approximately 5-10 days after your session, you’ll receive access to your online proofing gallery where you can view all of your beautiful images. From there, you can select your favorites and choose the digital images you’d like to keep, as well as any printed products you'd like to order.
Yes, I highly recommend ordering your prints, wall art, and albums through me. I work with exclusive professional print labs that are integrated with my editing software, ensuring your printed products look exactly as they were intended. I can assure you that these are some of the most beautiful, high-quality printed products available. Let me handle all the details so you can enjoy the best results!
Session fees are due at the time of booking to reserve your spot. Once booked, you’ll receive a confirmation, and your session date will be officially secured. For any additional products or upgrades, payment is due upon ordering. I accept a variety of payment methods for your convenience.

Once we discuss the details and choose your session type, I'll send over a booking agreement and invoice. Once the session fee is paid, your date will be officially reserved. I’ll be in touch leading up to your session to help you prepare and ensure everything goes smoothly. From wardrobe suggestions to location tips, I’m here to guide you every step of the way!
Yes, I offer payment plan options to make booking your session more manageable. We can discuss a payment schedule that works best for you, allowing you to break up the cost into smaller, more convenient payments. Feel free to reach out, and we can set up a plan that fits your needs!
The session process is simple and enjoyable! First, we’ll connect to discuss the details of your session, including location, style, and any special requests. Once your session is booked and the fee is paid, I’ll be in touch to help you prepare—whether that’s offering wardrobe tips, guiding you through the best times for your shoot, or discussing your vision. On the day of the session, we’ll meet at the agreed location, and I’ll guide you through every step to make sure you feel comfortable and confident. After your session, you’ll receive an online proofing gallery within 7-10 days to review your images and select your favorites. Before I begin the fine hand-editing process, we’ll discuss any prints or additional products you'd like to order to ensure you’re happy with your choices. Once you’ve selected your favorites and any products, I’ll apply my fine hand-editing to bring out the best in your images. You’ll then receive your digital images ready for instant download, and your print orders will be sent directly to the lab for professional printing. Prints will be shipped directly to you!
