Ideally within 21 days of birth

We like to plan for within the first 3 weeks of birth with the ideal time being between 5-14 days. If you have an older baby that is okay too! I have done newborn sessions up to 2 months old giving us more alertness for some adorable expressions and open eyes.

Comfortable Clothing to snuggle in!

Comfortable neutral-colored clothing tends to photograph best, especially in the studio. This also ensures baby won't have any color casting on their skin since they will be bundled up in your arms and near your clothing. No need to bring any outfit for your baby unless you would like to. I have everything from wraps to sweet outfits and simple props. The client closet is also available for mothers and young children to borrow from.

Around 20 Weeks

Booking your session in advance is ideal so we can be sure to have availability within that two-week marker as I only take a set amount on newborns each month. We will put your due date tentatively on the calendar. Once you have your sweet one, simply contact me to confirm a day and time for your session. If you are planning on having maternity portraits, we can book the two together.

In Studio, Home, or Outdoors in the warm months

We can plan for your session in the studio or have me come directly to your home for a lifestyle session. Studio sessions include our wraps and props for traditional posed images as well as staged lifestyle areas. In-home sessions document your life as it is at this moment with no need for props. If you are interested in an outdoor session, I recommend it be during the summer months when we have warm weather.
